What happened

In Bristol on the way to the office, at the roundabout off the M32 [here] Golf in front of me stops - the scooter behind does not.

Traffic on the offslip was as expected for an offslip onto a roundabout - stop and start. The roundabout was traffic light controlled.

I am fine at avoiding the car in front who did break, although with it being a roundabout it was to be expected, I then proceeded to watch my rear view mirror and the scooter with no chance of stopping at the pace they were going.

The rider was instantly on the defensive asking why I stopped, so I pointed out the car in front of me did.

He was adamant that the damage to his bike was greater than the damage to my car and insurance claim wasn’t necessary - he had a broken mudguard and I had a damaged bumper on a VW - I’m certain I know which costs more to repair.

Attempted dodge of insurance claim is on this video

He was very reluctant to give me his name, number or insurance details, I managed to get his name off him but had to push for his number and he refused his insurance provider saying mine could get it from his registration plate. I instantly called the number he gave me and his phone rang in his hand - didn’t feel like a very trust worthy person.

I think when he asked if I had a dashcam and I say yes and pointed straight at it made him realise he couldn’t blag his way out of this.

He asked me if I was recording us and took offence to that, he said I needed his permission and I pointed out it was a public place and yes i was - unfortunately Waze kept interrupting my recordings.
